Report from ASPIRE-MT Membership Committee

This year we increased our budget line to $200 to be able to purchase TRIO pins for all members. We purchased 40 pins at a cost of $110 dollars and distributed them at the Spring meeting in Butte. We worked to coordinate membership committee and the newcomers orientation group at Spring meeting and coordinated with Linda Ornowski on the Fair Share.

The committee would like to draft a letter to all directors to encourage membership as a regular part of new employment procedures. We should be going over that draft at the October meeting. We would like to work more closely with regional to develop a new member packet. Suggestions were made to develop a "student membership" option, honorary memberships to be given at National TRIO Days, and leadership building options for workshops for students. Follow up will hopefully happen in October meeting.
